In accordance with Wisconsin Statute 979.01 and 健康 and Social Services 135, the Outagamie County 验尸官's Office is responsible for the investigation of all reportable deaths that occur within Outagamie County. The 验尸官's office works collaboratively with all law enforcement agencies and the District Attorney's Office in death investigation and will testify in court as necessary. The 验尸官's Office is also responsible to investigate a death w在这里 a physician cannot or will not sign a death certificate and determine the final disposition on the corpse. All cremations and disinterment require authorization by the 验尸官's Office according to Wisconsin Statutes. In the case of cremation, the 验尸官's Office may request further investigation prior to final disposition. The 验尸官's Office also acts as a resource to assist the family members in the grieving process by making appropriate referrals when indicated.
